Griever's Christmas Stocking

Materials Needed

Directions

Fold red felt in half and cut out stocking shape. This will give you the front and back of stocking.  Lay aside back of stocking for now.  Using flat white lace cover the front of stocking using hot glue to glue edges down. Now glue front and back together.  Glue white gathered lace around the outer edge.  Glue white pearls starting just past the middle of stocking back  .. leave enough string pearls for a hanger...and glue along top edge on front of stocking...and around to meet in the back. Glue your child's name in red letters to the front of stocking. Add angel charms. *Other ideas for stockings are crochet, Cross stitch or plastic canvas.*

Optional: Attach small laminated card with poem.

~Griever's Christmas Stocking~

This special stocking to you from me
Is to hang upon your Christmas tree.

It's filled with lots of love and prayers
from a grieving mother who cares.

Placed inside are memories galore
to chase grief right out the door.

I included smiles and hope
as each day you try to cope.

Inside I placed mercy and grace
may you feel God's presence in every place.

All these unseen, but all to true
I placed inside just for you.
