Angel CD

Materials Needed

Directions

Take Cd and spray paint gray, front and back. After paint dries apply your angel pattern. Trace angel pattern using tracing paper. Then use the graphite paper to trace pattern onto the cd.  You are now ready to paint. Refer to picture while painting.  You may want to add a touch of red to the flesh paint, especially if you are using oils. Paint your angel.  If you are using acrylic paints then chalk paint and Q tips are great to shape cheeks.

Next: Before you paint the hair, paint your clouds.  Use a Qtip and add fluffy shapes, being sure to allow some of the gray in the background to show through. This will make your clouds look more realistic. After you have done your clouds paint in hair and wings.  Add halo and you have your angel.  If you are using oil paints allow for drying time. Acrylics dry faster.

Note: If you don't paint that's ok, because the angel decals will make your cd look just as pretty.  Angel decals can be found at most craft stores. I found mine at Hobby Lobby.

Finishing:  After your Angel has dried you are ready to apply the lace to the edge of your cd.  I applied mine with hot glue and went completely around the cd.  Then I took the tiny roses and added one at the top, and one to each side.  Add a bow to the bottom center and ribbon hanger.

Optional: Card or saying,

Angels Among Us

There are Angels among us here below,
and heaven is full of angels we know.

At rest in the arms of our Father above,
carrying with them a mother's love.

Candle

Materials Needed

Directions

Spray paint mason jar and allow to dry. I used oil paints, light yellow, orange, white, sap green, and burnt umber to paint sunflowers onto the jar.  You don't have to paint, you can use a flower decal instead. I glued lace around the top edge of jar and glued a sunflower to the front. When you have done this you are ready to
insert small candle holder and candle into the top of jar to complete candle.

Note: Materials for this craft can be found at Wal-mart and Hobby Lobby.

Mourning Angel

Materials Needed

Directions

First you will need to drill a small hole into the angel head for hanging.  Paint wooden angel white. Paint front and back of angel. While paint is wet sprinkle on glitter. After your angel dries spray it with clear spray paint, this adds the shine and protects the paint.  Glue a bow and a tiny white rose to angel front.  Run ribbon through hole in angel and hole in card to attach, tie ribbon closed.

Card: Print on any color paper poem or saying. Laminate with clear shelf paper and cut around edges with scissors to make fancy edges.

Poem

Mourning Angel

This little angel
has a special job
to do. It is a
reminder of your
loved one gone
home to Heaven
who waits for you
and is even now
walking among Angels.

In Memory of Mark (Child's name)
11/5/78 - 1/23/97

Or you can use

Mourning Angel

Crafted with love
to remind you of
your angel above.
Safe at home in
the Father's care
waiting with Angels
to meet you there.

In Memory of Mark (Child's name)

Grief Awareness Ribbon

Materials Needed

Directions

Fold ribbon as shown in picture and apply a small amount of hot glue to the back of top piece of ribbon. Glue white flower to the top of ribbon where the ribbon crosses.  Hot glue small gold halo to the middle of flower. Hot glue pin to back of ribbon for wearing.

Optional: You can use the gold paint pin to write child's name on the ribbon and or dates. If you chose to write on your ribbon apply very little pressure, too much will make the paint run.

Card: Print out and laminate.  Cut around card with craft scissors. You will only need the card if your pin is going to be a gift.

Saying:

Grief Awareness Ribbon

The idea of this ribbon was fashioned above,
and sent to earth with the Father's love.

The Ribbon: A reminder that someone cares.

The Flower: A reminder our loved ones
are welcomed home by The Lily of the Valley.

The Golden Halo: A reminder that heaven
has our precious Angel.

The Color White: A reminder of the robe
they donned on the day they went to be with
Jesus...as promised by God. (Rev. 3:5)
